This piece was created straight out of the usual excitement that comes when bringing home treasure after a shopping spree at the art supply store (and seriously, how can you go in there and it not turn into a bit of a spree). I used inspiration from other artworks to bring this piece to life, as well as memories of coastlines I've wandered in the past.

The art item in particular that I was just itching to try was a 2" wide wash brush. How I ever achieved evenly laid washes before this brush came into my life is beyond me. Like some of us say… use the right tools for the job!
